Based off a 19th Century Sampler Quilt, this civil war era quilt features pieced and applique blocks by Minick and Simpson. The original Austin Bluebird Sampler is a crisp, vibrant grouping of Minick & Simpson fabrics. However, this program takes this beautiful period quilt and is made with Wool and Silk Matka! This is such a charming reproduction with 2 birds on a branch surrounded by rose buds, flowers, cherries and pears will look so beautiful in our textured wools. The happy bluebirds are surrounded by pieced blocks in the style of the original 19th century sampler quilt - perfect for the wool on silk.

The finished quilt measures 75"x 84", and the kit includes all of the wool and silk matka materials needed in the same colorways at the original quilt as well as the complete pattern pack, and binding - more than 19 yards of Wool and Silk in all!

We have several options for you - you can elect to join as a regular 12 month Block of the month, or, if you prefer you may sign up for the 6 month 'Accelerated BOM' where you will receive 2 blocks per month, and finally you have the option to purchase the entire quilt at one time.

6 Month Accelerated BOM - $193.34 per month- includes free US shipping, and will start the month following your reservation

All at Once - $1156 total cost - and this takes about a week to 10 days to pull together and s US Shipping is Free.

•Should you be participating in more than one BOM with us, we will combine your orders to save you on shipping costs!
•Also, please note - while we do accept Paypal for the Reservation Deposit, we will need a credit card on file for the duration of the program.
•For optional items that you reserve, these will be charged and ship on the first month.
•We do ask that if you begin a program, you finish it as well. However, if something comes up (and we know it certainly can!) and you need to stall the program for a certain amount of time, that is fine - just let us know. We know things happen! •Finally, should you make a mistake on your block, and if we have the fabrics in stock, we will replace the fabric at no extra cost to you!
