Calling All Quilters!
During game season do you find yourself with more extra time on your hands because your significant other is glued to the TV watching his favorite sport? No need to fret. You may be what we call a Game Day Widow and you are not alone! So join us and lots of other GDWs for our First Game Huddle.

Beginning Sunday October 5, and every Sunday for 12 weeks, we'll post a new block challenge. Then, throughout the playoffs we will release the special sashings and inner borders instructions, and in conjunction with Superbowl Sunday on February 1, 2015, we will release the final finishing instructions. This is not a typical quilt sampler boring design ... there are nearly 4 dozen blocks, ranging in size from 3" - 15", and each week we will release anywhere from 1 - 3 blocks. The finished quilt measures 72" x 75".

We also have a variety of game options from which you may choose. There is a Fabric Autoship option as well as 2 Pattern Only Options (one where you come back every week, or just get them all ordered now). 

Fabric Autoship
First, you may choose from 3 different fabric autoship programs (scroll over the image with your mouse to see a small sampling of the 3 options) - Piccadilly Iridescents, Fall Bounty Metallics, and Beach Reef Batiks. Each week, the Monday before the game, we will send out that week's block fabric in your fabric of choice. These absolutely gorgeous fabrics that are quilt-shop-only top-of-the line quality fabrics, but space in each is limited. Then, on Game Day the instructions for that week's block or blocks will be available for you in your account. If you miss that week, no worries - it will always be ready for you in your account.

The cost of the fabric autoship program is $14 per week for the 12 weeks which will cover the first 16 blocks. This includes US postage costs (Mexico and Canada are $3 per week additional postage, and all International are $4 per week postage). The Specialty Blocks/Sashing/Finishing Kit fabrics are optional, and the total cost of the Finishing Kit is $89 plus actual shipping costs. The Optional Finishing kit fabrics (as well as a specialty ruler) will ship early in the program (to guarantee that you receive your fabrics), but the instructions for all the specialty blocks, sashing and borders will be released weekly and automatically put into your account beginning January 4, and through the Superbowl on February 1, 2015. (Note - there is a 'Bye' week on December 28, 2014 where no fabrics will be shipped). Optional backing fabric ($53.25) will also be sent early in the program as these are first-come-first-served.

Please Note - due to the necessity that these all blocks ship out the Monday before the game so they reach you in time, for the autoship option we require a credit card is on file rather than Paypal. The .50cent fee when you sign up will be refunded as soon as we verify your CC information is correct.

You may join the Fabric Autoship program anytime after the start date if we have availability. However, if you are joining the program late, then you will be sent all released blocks up to that date at one time. Your card will be charged to reflect this catch-up.

Patterns Only Weekly
With this option, you will select your own fabrics, and then download your patterns as they become available on Sundays. The cost of each is just $1.00 for each block pattern, sashing, and specialty blocks, plus there will be no charge for the final finishing instructions. You will need to go to the website each week to get the new patterns as they are released.

To start the Pattern Only program, there is not a start up fee. However, right now you need to add this Program and Fabric Requirements your basket and check out. More Program and Quilt Information

As we mentioned before, the quilt measures 72" x 75". This is a quilt for the intermediate quilter, but if you are an advanced beginner who likes to try new things, then definitely go for it. There will be a little bit of paper piecing, a lot of regular piecing, and some minimal applique. The binding is included in the Finishing Kit fabrics, but the backing is optional. For those of you doing the pattern only, be sure to add this to your cart and check out - the place where the fabric requirements are is the same place we will plop the finishing instructions as they are released in early 2015.
