"Rally 'round the Flag" pattern booklet by Lori Brechlin is a combo project. There is primitive stitchery, wool applique, and painting (optional). You determined hwo much staining you want (or none at all is okay, too!). Applique measures 8x10, so it is a compact and quick project.
