Because Valentine's is the day for Lovers & Chocolates, we wanted to give you one of our all-time favorite receipes!   Every year our special group of quilting friends gathers for a week of fun ... and one of our favorite receipes is the Caramel Brownies.  These rich brownies are sure to satisfy all of the choco-holics in your home!

Best Quilter's Brownies!

Preheat oven to 350 ^o (175 ^o F).  Grease a 9" x 13" pan.

1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels ... unwrap them all!
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 package chocolate cake mix - we like a 'fudgier' cake mix
6 tablespoons melted butter
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Place the unwrapped caramels in a saucepan or double boiler with 2 Tablespoons evaporated milk. Melt this together over medium to low heat, stirring constantly.
In a large bowl, combine the remaining evaporated milk, dry cake mix, and melted butter. Stir until well blended. Spread half of this mixture in the prepared pan.
Bake for 10 minutes and then remove brownies from oven.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips and drizzle melted caramels over the top.
Drop and lightly spread the remaining cake mixture by small spoonfuls to cover the chocolate chips and caramel mixture.
Return to oven for 20 minutes.
